Shred Day & Canned Food Drive with Tigard Police

Shred Day 9AM to 12PM or until full

The Tigard Police Department, in partnership with Pride Recycling, offers a shred event on a periodic basis, which allows community members to securely dispose of paper documents containing personal information. A canned food donation for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry is required. 

**NO PEDESTRIAN WALK-UPS / MUST REMAIN IN VEHICLE** 

Date: Saturday April 25, 2025
Time: 9:00AM to 12:00PM or until trucks are full. Wait times typically decrease mid event. 
Location: Tigard City Hall parking lot (13125 SW Hall Blvd Tigard, OR 97223).
Cost: a canned food donation is required. Details below. 

First come, first serve until the shred truck is full. We cannot accept items for shredding ahead of time.

*LIMIT: 2 standard paper grocery bags per car.
A standard size is considered 12x7x17". Oversized bags will be considered two containers. Limits are needed to meet the demand for this free service. 

What's Accepted: 
We will ONLY accept paper items. 
Please remove garbage, binders, cardboard or anything else before you arrive. Please have your items ready for a quick drop off. We cannot keep boxes and will return them to drivers once emptied. 

Cost: minimum donation of at least 2 canned goods
Please bring canned food or store-packaged food items to donate to St. Vincent de Paul's food pantry. Cash donations are also accepted.

The most needed items include: 

  • Canned tuna fish
  • Canned chili
  • Canned soup
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables
  • Cereal
