In this ninety minute class, students will learn about identifying risks, healthy relationships and general safety information.
They will also be introduced to basic self-defense tactics using their voices, strikes and kicks.
A portion of the class involves instruction on verbal techniques that are vital skills for self-defense. “Many women are taught to be polite and criticized when they speak up and assert themselves,” says Detective Kristan Rinell who instructed the class. “My goal is for students to leave the class knowing that they have a voice and feeling more comfortable using it.”
Space is limited and registration is *required. An email confirmation or waitlist notification will be sent after processing, subject to space availability.
